Effective October 23, 2026. Updated October 26, 2026, when Voidexe became a battle-maps and history site.
What we publish
Voidexe publishes articles about lesser-known American battles and skirmishes, arranged by era, and about weird history. Articles should identify when and where events happened, link to the records and sources used, and clearly separate documented history from legend and opinion. Where accounts disagree, such as on troop numbers or casualties, we say so. Corrections identify the changed claim and the relevant source.
Maps
Battle maps on Voidexe are modern explanatory maps, not period documents. Positions and movements are approximate and based on the sources cited in each article. Historical maps, when shown, are captioned with their source.
How AI is used
AI assists with topic development, research, drafting, editing, maps and illustrations. AI can make mistakes, so articles link to the sources consulted. Illustrations are AI-generated artwork unless a caption identifies a historical photograph, document or map. Artwork should not be treated as a historical record.
Corrections
To report a correction, use our contact page. Include the article URL, the claim that needs attention, and a source or explanation where possible.
Visiting battlefields and historic sites
Many places mentioned here are private property, protected sites or cemeteries. Check access rules before visiting, respect posted hours and signs, and never trespass, metal-detect without permission, or disturb graves, markers or artifacts.
Commercial relationships
Some articles may include clearly labeled affiliate links, such as books or maps. Affiliate disclosure: As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Commissions do not influence our coverage. We identify paid links near the links and disclose the relationship in the relevant article.
